TWO MUNICIPALITIES SELECT TERREMARK'S NAP OF THE AMERICAS TO HOUSE CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Miami Beach and Doral Relocate Mission-Critical Communications as
Part of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan

Miami, FL., August 2, 2006 - Terremark Worldwide, Inc. a leading operator of integrated Tier-1 Internet exchanges and a global provider of managed IT infrastructure solutions for government and private sectors, today announced that the City of Miami Beach and the City of Doral have each signed a contract for collocation services at the NAP of the Americas facility. These cities join Miami-Dade County, the City of Coral Gables, and other state and local government entities which house their critical infrastructure at the NAP of the Americas.

Terremark's NAP of the Americas will support the cities' mission-critical communications needs and significantly expand their connectivity capabilities, enabling future seamless connections with other local municipalities, Miami-Dade County and other organizations, as well as local educational institutions already housed at the NAP.

Both the City of Miami Beach and the City of Doral will be provided with secure and redundant Internet access, collocation space and power. This collocation space will serve as the foundation for the Cities' internet and disaster recovery platforms.

The cities were able to easily obtain Terremark's services as a result of Terremark's existing contract with Miami-Dade County, which allows Florida's public schools, counties and cities to purchase services under the Miami-Dade Unified Access Program contract vehicle in a cost-effective manner.

"As the City of Miami Beach continues to grow and prosper, we are more and more dependent on our ability to expand our connectivity capabilities to service our end-users," said Jorge M. Gonzalez, Miami Beach City Manager. "The NAP provides us the peace of mind that our data will be secured, accessible and that we have the ability to expand in a cost-effective manner, without taxing our core business or delivery of services to the City residents."

The City of Miami Beach is committed to advancing technology and will soon become the first major city to provide free wireless Internet service citywide. Miami Beach is 7.2 square miles and is home to over 90,000 residents and hosts over eight million visitors a year.

"It has become mission-critical to have sufficient network capacity and the most reliable and secure collocation facility available to house our infrastructure," said City of Doral Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez. "Locating in the NAP of the Americas will allow us to securely continue to expand City services offered to Doral residents via our website. The NAP provides the perfect environment to deploy the City's back-up and disaster recovery programs preventing disruption of services to our residents and end-users due to hurricanes and other emergency situations."

The City of Doral, incorporated on June 24, 2003, is one of 34 municipalities in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The City is home to approximately 29,685 residents and regularly hosts in excess of 100,000 people who work within the City. The City of Doral has operated under the Mayor-Council-Manager form of government since incorporation. The City's annual budget is xx.

"By deploying at the NAP, both the City of Miami Beach and City of Doral will have easy direct access to a multitude of carriers allowing them to realize cost savings in a highly secure environment," said Manuel D. Medina, Chairman and CEO of Terremark Worldwide Inc. "The NAP has become the facility of choice for state and local government entities such as Miami-Dade County and others, who entrust their mission-critical infrastructure to us for a more secure, reliable and cost-effective solution."
